TextMeshPro Drop Shadows

TMPro Drop Shadows is a plug-and-play unity package that automatically creates and maintains synchronized drop shadows for TextMeshProUGUI components.

Simply add the component to any TMP UI object and customize the shadow offset and color directly from the Inspector.

The asset supports runtime text updates, rich text formatting, and optionally integrates with Febucci's Text Animator for Unity through the included TMPAnimDropShadow component.

Requirements:

• Unity with TextMeshPro installed
• Optional: Text Animator for Unity (for animated text support)

Usage:

There are two ways you can use this asset:

When you DON'T have Febucci's Text Animator for Unity:

1. Download the package 'TMPDropShadows.unitypackage' below.
2. Import it via the menus Assets>Import Package>Custom Package...
3. Select the TMPro text you wish to add a shadow to.
4. Add the 'TMP Drop Shadows' component, as shown here:
5. Press Play!

When you DO have Febucci's Text Animator for Unity:

1. Download the package 'TMPDropShadows_AnimatorCompatible.unitypackage' below.
2. Import it via the menus Assets>Import Package>Custom Package...
   
3. If you want to add shadows to a text that has animations, then select the 'TMP Anim Drop Shadows' component:
4. If you want to add shadows to a text that doesn't have animations, then select the 'TMP Drop Shadows' component.
5. Press Play!
